I work with adults who are experiencing a range of depression and anxiety related concerns, life transitions, and/or complex or single incident traumatic experiences.

As an EMDRIA certified clinician and approved consultant, I have found that Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization (EMDR) is one of the best methods to stimulate the brain’s natural ability to move toward health. I also incorporate Narrative therapy, mindfulness based techniques and internal family systems therapy into the work.

We human beings are equipped not only with an incredible ability to survive, but also with an amazing capacity to heal and thrive. Together we will work to unravel complex events and/or patterns in your life to promote personal growth and new possibilities.

I have a BS in Chemistry and a BA in African History. I lived abroad in Namibia (Africa) teaching high school students for two years prior to returning and studying social work at the master’s degree level. I strive to eliminate race-based gaps in equal access to quality mental health care by understanding the historical effects of slavery, lynching, segregation, redlining and mass incarceration in our community today.
