About Me

I am a Licensed Psychologist and have worked in the field of psychology since 2006. I enjoy working with individuals eight years of age and older and specialize in two types of therapy, Dialectial Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocressing (EMDR). In addition to my specialties, I utilize other forms of therapy including Sand Tray Therapy, Play Therapy, artwork, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help create a client-centered approach.

My main objective in therapy is to help you learn how to understand and manage your emotions, while providing you with coping strategies to increase more positive experiences in your life. As humans, we develop strategies and skills based on what we have learned in our environment. Sometimes these strategies help us survive and get through challenging times, and other times, they interfere with our wants and needs.

I would like to help you be able to identify the goals you would like to achieve to live a more desirable life. Once we have this goal established, we will work together to identify new coping skills to address situations that feel distressing to you.

There are times when it is hard to find hope during a challenging season, but as your therapist, I would like to help hold that for you until you are ready to find it yourself. Providing a positive therapeutic relationship, that allows for hope and change, is important to me.

Being a therapist is a passion of mine, along with spending time with my family and friends, playing volleyball, hiking, camping, canoeing, music, and theater.

My clinical interests include working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, relational issues/concerns, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, self-esteem issues, trauma related issues & PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, and personality disorders.
