EMDR is the most researched psychotherapeutic treatment for PTSD. Twenty controlled outcome studies have investigated the efficacy of EMDR in PTSD treatment. These studies all found EMDR superior to the control condition on measures of posttraumatic stress.

Francine Shapiro Library is dedicated to Francine Shapiro, originator and developer of the Adaptive Information Processing Model (AIP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). It is the most comprehensive collection available of research reports, scholarly articles, and other important writings related to the AIP and EMDR. The library is hosted by Northern Kentucky University as a service to EMDRIA.
